Flying Mouse was one of my favorite T-shirt designers on the web sight. He had a lot of abstract work that really caught the eye of me and im sure of the other people that have viewed his work. All of the shirts on here were had a lot in common like all very vibrant. All of te designers on this web sight seem to know how to use contrast and great color in there work.
ReplyDeleteI agree that Flying Mouse was a great piece! What do you especially like about it? I liked the similarity between the background and the tree's color, which of course emphasized the bunny in between. I also liked how he tied together the negative spaces with the color of the girl's dress and the color of the bunny's eye!
DeleteI agree that the flying mouse was a great picture, showed a lot of color and was also abstract. All these designers used there colors very well .
DeleteFlying mouses design makes me laugh. It's kind of creepy but not to a point where I can't look at it. So I think that he/she did a good job!
Deleteflying mouse's design was very unique, and was based a lot on realism, but It took a while for me to notice what the focal point of the picture was.
DeleteAll the designs have in common on the website is that they all use multiple colors throughout the design. My favorite t-shirt designer is Aj Dimarucot because his design was very vibrant and colorful. The context is displayed right in the middle of the design, and the content is located underneath the context. Composition rules effected the design by making sure there wasn't too much or not enough negative space used throughout the t-shirt.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Aj's design was very vibrant and i liked the colors he chose.
DeleteAll t-shirt designers have designs that are colorful, bold, and unique. They use the four themes very carefully. What I mean by that is that they are precise when creating their design. One of my favorites is Matt Lyon of C86. His design is different because when looking at it, you are looking at it for a while because you are trying to figure out the entire design.
ReplyDeleteI agree that all of the designers incorporate color into their designs very well! Most all of the T-shirts have very vibrant colors in them. How does Matt Lyon incorporate alignment into his design, as to move the eye toward the center of the T-shirt?
DeleteAll the T-Shirts are colorful and have their own designs. The are also very detailed. The first one because it uses color and shapes to turn into a bird. I love birds because they are free and graceful. It uses the space of the t-shirt to make a really cool design.
ReplyDeleteWhich artist did you enjoy the most? I thought that Jeff Finley was the best out of them all.
Delete@madi 32132
DeleteI agree that all the T-shirts are colorful and have all their own unique designs. Which design was your least favorite?
@madi32132
DeleteThe T-shirts do include a lot of detail in them, which makes each design unique! Which T-shirt design best uses contrast, and what is your favorite way that the designers use contrast?
Madi I like that design too.
DeleteAll of the T-shirt designers on this website have a very clear and well defined art style for their shirts. They all have a distinct look and none of these shirts look the same while all of them look very interesting. My favorite designer was Jeff Finley because he has a very odd way of designing his shirts. They are out of the ordinary and make the viewer travel to a world where designs like his might exist. The designers on this site use contrast, special techniques, and specific art styles to create designs that are unique to them.
ReplyDeleteI too enjoyed Jeff Finley's design. It was 'odd' and out of the ordinary which drew the audience to want to view it. You made a good point about the design, and I also thought that the designer used interesting brushes in comparison to the actual design. His attention to the smallest detail made me want to view more of his works!
DeleteJeff Finley's designs was very creative! the contrast of colors and shapes really caught my eye! Also the detail was amazing!
DeleteI enjoyed AJ Dimarucots design as well. I think that he has a very clear and distinct art style and that the designs that he makes are very interesting.
ReplyDeleteAll of the T-shirt designers on this website have a clear and defined art style for their designs.
ReplyDeleteThey all have a cool look and none of the shirts look the same but they all look very interesting.
I liked Josh Principe's octopus shirt design because it was very interesting and unique.
The art on the front of the photo is very precise and looked to take a lot of time for him to draw. He used contrast of the colors and background, as well as special techniques and art styles.
Yes, I agree that AJ Dimarucots has a very interesting design, definitely my second favorite. Under Josh Principe's octopus shirt. @MitchellDack @HunterCraven
ReplyDeletethey all have in common that their designs are unique and have multiple colors. My favorite is the first one because my favorite color is blue and that paint looks like a butterfly, it impacts it lot because the way the mixed the paint together makes such an interesting figure. and the contrast makes it look like its coming off the shirt
ReplyDeleteThat is a good observation of that design. that was my favorite also. that design is cool!
DeleteI noticed that all the great designs on this website have a variety of colors. They also have a unique image shape or symbol that is the center piece of the T-shirt. My favorite T-shirt designer on that website was Josh Principe because it was unique and it also provided humor. A octopus drinking beer is not your typical T-Shirt design image, and that is why I like it. The design rules impact my favorite T-shirt design by making it simple yet interesting. Josh used colors to provide the interesting feeling that the T-Shirt provides. Josh also used almost the opposite design rule of proximity. For example, the octopus and beer.
ReplyDeleteAll of the t-shirt designs included in this list are very complex pieces created my masters with years of experience. These masters still use the four design rules as their basis of their design. Contrast is a persistent trend in all the pictures, drawing your eye to the uniqueness of the piece. My favorite designer was Josh Principe for his unique image that was totally original. The colors were not overwhelming, and they blended well together. I think I like his design the best purely fro the originality. Content is the biggest factor in my favoring of a design due to the fact that I like to see crazy and unique designs.
ReplyDeleteThe t-shirt that I liked the best was AJ Dimarucot. His design was very unique with the colors and the visual art aspect of it. The artwork was well centered and combined into one piece. If he had more to put on it i think it would have been to much on the shirt and it would have looked horrible. Great art work .
ReplyDeleteAJ Dimarucot had very complex designs that I enjoyed. He had all of the elements of a great design, contrast, repetition and great detail that reflects the designer.
DeleteI really liked his work as well i would probably say it is my second favorite, he uses the colors very well it makes the image pop out at me and keep my eyes on it
DeleteThe t-shirt that I liked was Ray Frenden's. All the shirt designs on this website have one thing in common and it is that they all follow the four design rules very well. The reason that this designer was my favorite was his great color contrast and design that was different from all the others showing a together yet distressed way of life. Also I really liked the difference between the soft and hard lines used to define the pictures meaning in deeper context with no words involved.
ReplyDelete"What do all the great designs have in common on this website?"
ReplyDeleteAll these masters of design show many similar characteristics in their t-shirts. All of the designs clearly show how the artists followed the design rules. The t-shirts are all colorful and interesting to the viewer, and they all show expertise in the amount of great detail the designers added. They draw the audience to view the whole shirt by the consistant contrast each t-shirt shows.
"Which t-shirt designer is your favorite and why?"
ReplyDeleteHerman Lee was my favorite t-shirt designer from the list. I love the simplicity of his design, and yet the attention to detail is amazing. Rather than be "all over the place", the design used negative space correctly and Mr.Lee used the design rules expertly. I love the contrast in warm and cool colors and how all the colors work together to create a beautiful design. I think his idea of the colors on the bottom left corner being "sucked" up into the small bird to make sure the colors are seen throughout the design efficiently is genius.
I agree that Herman Lee's design was simple and had a lot of detail. You made a good point on how the warm and cool colors worked together to benefit the design. What was your second favorite design?
Delete"How do content/context, composition/design rules, and technique impact your favorite t-shirt design?"
ReplyDeleteFirstly, content/context greatly impact the designs because if the content is lacking detail or contrast, etc then it will not draw the reader to it. All these designs are interesting and drawing because these masters used content/context correctly. Underneath it all, we can see the main design rules show through on every single design listed by these artists. These rules help a designer create a drawing design that is interesting to the audience but not overwhelming. We can see each designer's technique shine through in each t-shirt design. This creates their personal style and shows their attention to detail even while keeping it "simple".

How do content/context, composition/design rules, and technique impact your favorite t-shirt design?
---The content of the t-shirt impacts the design because the designs on the tee fill in the negative space, and add color to the black background. The content also gives an overall theme to the t-shirt. The design rules impact the t-shirt because the contrast of the graphic on the tee draws attention to the center of the t-shirt, and the repetition of color gives the piece a sense of unity. Lastly, AJ Dimarucot's technique of having colorful designs impacts the shirt design by creating a big sense of contrast in the tee design.

Knowing how much to put and not to put too much on a design greatly impacts a consumer's decision to buy or not to buy. The content presents a theme for the consumer's taste and is one of the most important techniques to impact the design.
They all have different types of creativity and they all have followed the design rules. All of them choose to have the viewers eye all over the t-shirt making it very interesting.

All the designers used the design rules very well because my eyes were drawn around the design and contrast was used well because there are more than just one objects in the shirts.

The design rules impact my design because it makes me think more about how the viewer looks at the design and how i can use contrast to show emphasis instead of just making things easier to read.
What all the designers have in common is they are all very original. Also something that I notice is how their colors complimented each other so well. My favorite was definitely AJ Dimarucots design because I love the colors on it and I could see myself wearing it. The shapes and blend of colors really affect the content/context, composition/design rules, and technique and I look for that in T-shirts.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your decisions that AJ Dimarucots design was the best. I very much enjoyed how the colors affected each other and the shapes.

ReplyDeleteHerman lee had really cool designs i liked his use of diffrernt colors too
DeleteAll of these designers use very unique designs. The are all either abstract or have something hidden after looking at it for a little bit. My favorite was the flying mouse because it has many ideas represented into one mouse. It was nice because the colors blended well and were smooth.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you in that i does guide your eye throughout the design. I feel like it is a bit chaotic. I do not understand why it is like that.
ReplyDeleteThe t-shirts on the website have very interesting designs. All the shirts have abstract visuals and are out of the ordinary. All the colors are very bright and flashy, which makes them appealing to the customer. My favorite design was made by Ed Pincombe and I liked it because it really stuck out and was very cool to look at. ReplyDeleteAll of the t-shirts designers are very creative and use colors that attract the eye. They are all very unique and creative. Josh Princpe used contrast to make the octopus really pop. They are just really good and are very creative.

ReplyDeleteWhich one was your favorite?
DeleteEach of the T-shirt designs on the website share that everyone of them has a very strong use of color. They all use color to add to their design. My favorite designer on the website is Kneil Melicano, because it had a interesting use of the colors. The content is about this thing being set free from a cage and it makes the design unique. The design also uses contrast very well. The background is more of a maroon color and there is a slash of this really nice yellow. These two colors are quite opposite but they work well together in the design.
ReplyDeleteKneil Melicano was also my favorite designer. I agree that his design is unique.
DeleteI completely agree with you about how melicanos designs are about freedom and expressionism
DeleteMy favorite design is Flying Mouse's, this is my favorite because it is a very unique design. You do not see a lot of designs like those which is very cool. I also enjoyed how he repeated the blue color throughout the design which gives it a very different feel about it. I would definitely wear that shirt.
ReplyDeleteFlying Mouse's design was indeed interesting, however it's not enough. His repetitiveness is somewhat off-putting to the eye, and his art style is lacking in several aspects.
DeleteI liked the flying mouse. It was really cool and unique.
DeleteAll these designs are very creative. They have bright colors to go with the abstract design. These two things really grab the attention of the viewer. My favorite designer is Ray Frenden, because his design would look very cool on a tshirt. His design really grabs the attention of the viewer. ReplyDeleteAll of the designs are so unique and eye catching, that they demand a closer inspection. My favorite t-shirt designer is Kneil Melicano, because his creation is different than the others. His background is a stand out color, there is a silhouette of a girl releasing something, and there is a bike next to her. The content of this shirt can be interpreted in many different ways, which makes it unique to every person. The shirt uses the design rules efficiently, with the actual image within proximity of everything, the contrast of colors to make it more appealing to the eye, and the alignment with all of the important parts.
ReplyDeleteI like the fact that this shirt can be interpreted differently to each person, as you said. It is an engaging image with in interesting message
DeleteAll the designs use bright colors and had lots of movement. I don't really like any of the designs, but the one that caught my eye the most was the one by Herman Lee. It is very clean and had many different shades of the same 3 or 4 colors. The colors in the bottom corner bring your eyes up to the bird which is the middle of t-shirt.
ReplyDeleteI liked the Herman Lee one too! I think the bird really stands out because the shadow behind it is white and the bright colors pop.
DeleteAll of the t-shirt designs had a multitude of colors and a great flow to them. They all have a main color as the background, with a specific color or group of colors shining out in a certain formation. My favorite design was that of Matt Lyon; his design seems so advanced architecturally, and is interesting to the eyes because of all the different shapes connecting as one cohesive unit. This shirt had great proximity and alignment principles because of it being a shirt about a building or a town, which works well as a whole.
ReplyDeleteAll of the t-shirt designs are very creative yet simplistic in nature. They use whitespace and contrast effectively and use a lot of vibrant colors to catch eyes. My favorite was Josh Principe because I loved the dark theme and the funny Cthulhu on the front. I liked the use of whitespace to draw the eye straight to cthulhu and the use of darker colors. I liked its proximity
ReplyDeleteI also noticed the use of vibrant colors, but didn't realize the use of white space until you pointed it out. The designs are all very interesting and unique yet they are all similar in the way they use the design rules

How do content/context, composition/design rules, and technique impact your favorite t-shirt design?
*Content/Context: the content is aligned to the t-shirt and the content is well thought out and put together very nicely. There is no context
*Composition/Design rules: Once again it is well thought out. The design rules are somewhat broken when it comes to the color scheme and repetition but this doesn't work against the overall design.

How do content/context, composition/design rules, and technique impact your favorite t-shirt design? context impacts my favorite design because without the context the design would not make much sense.
Hannah, I agree with you. Kneil made a very interesting yet beautiful design. The design could have very different views if it did not have any context behind it.
DeleteAll of the T-shirts are graphic and contain no photographic images. They all also use lots of bright colors in their designs. While they are all unique designs, They all carry the same cartoonish design. My personal favorite was flying mouse's design. The image had a more sketchy style than the others, and i like how he took real creatures and bent reality by making the bunny enormous next to the tree. Contrast is used by making the background a plain blue and the bunny a pale green, but then putting the tree in front of the bunny with the same plain blue. It's a very simple image, using only three colors. I love the unique and kind of strange feeling about it.
ReplyDeleteAll of these t-shirts have no photographic images and they are all cartoonish. Bright colors are used, and most of the designs are on a dark t-shirt. DeleteI agree! Kneil's was very cool and the colors used made it very pretty and fun to look at!
DeleteEach design did a great job with contrast, the colors of each shirt stand out with the dark backgrounds. My favorite of them was the one by Herman Lee. The reason this one stood out was because of the colors. The background is a dark blue and the image is very colorful, making it stand out more.
ReplyDeleteHis T-shirt design was enticing, however when compared to another artist, say, Ray Frenden, His design doesn't even begin to compare to the lively images of his competitors.
ReplyDeleteAll of the designs had the creative use of color in common with their designs. My favorite designer was Jeff Finely. He was my favorite because he had a really unique design with the contrast between colors and organic and geometric shapes. He also had the most unique and creative idea for the creature he made and put on his shirt.
ReplyDeleteI agree! Jeff Finley's design had a good mixture of organic and geometric shapes in it, and it creates a very appealing design. The bright colors also contrast well with the dark background in that design. The creature is definitely eye-catching as well!
DeleteI agree Jeff had a mixture of both organic and geometric shapes. Also had the most creative idea.
DeleteThey all used really bright colors and they all are very animated. My favorite design was Kneil Melicano. This one was my favorite because I liked the way the girl holding the bird cage was like a shadow but the yellow is coming out of the cage. Contrast is used by the t shirt being a redish pinkish color and the art on the design being black or yellow or blue
ReplyDeleteI agree! I enjoy the sharp contrast between the cage and the yellow that comes out the cage. This contrast between the yellow and the background and silhouettes. The execution of the design rules is really good in the t-shirt, which adds to the whole overall design.
DeleteI really loved all of the designs on this website; they all were very cartoonish and had many different colors and color schemes involved in the design. The colors really stand out in each design. I think my favorite designer out of the ones given was Aj Dimarucot. I liked how the colors were in contrast to the background. With the contrast the colors all popped and were easy to see. The rules of design and technique impact my favorite design by tying all of the components together.
ReplyDeleteAll of the designs were all somewhat unusual but not so much so that they were un appealing and they also were all very colorful. My favorite design was the Josh Principe because of the objects he used in it. The rules of design that made me choose my favorite were a good balance of all of them without having too much of one.
ReplyDeleteAll the designs ar all different colors and has a different look and say to each one. My favorite one was by Kneil Melicano. The reason why I picked this design was because it was full of design, it just was a a design that said a lot. Everything that was used the the design was eye catching and very stunning. ReplyDeleteAll designs are different colors and different look. Jeff Finley's had organic and geometric shapes. Also had the most unique and creative idea.
ReplyDeleteI thought that all of the designs were very unique in their own way. Definitely not something you see everyday but I liked them a lot. My favorite one was Josh Principe because of all different objects and contrast used in the design. The technique and design rules used that affected this to be my favorite was the variety portrayed throughout the design!
ReplyDeleteThe great designs on the website were very unique, but what I noticed was that they all used lots of color and really made the most of their canvas, making sure they can use as much of the t-shirt they can to properly show their design. My favorite was Flying Mouse because the size and color of the bunny in the background provide contrast between the tree and the rest of the design.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the beauty that is represented in this shirt design. I like how they uses similar shades of cool colors that form a strong image. The bunny image is very delicate and designed very well.
DeleteThe great designers all have in common that they use strong graphics that show there individual style. My personal favorite was Justin White because of the lines that trail on his design. He uses a lot of repetition of shapes and colors, and a strong contrast between the colors, which adds to the overall design of the T-shirt. I also like his there are intricate details that are subtly incorporated into the piece. He has very sophisticated design ideas that tell a story.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite t-shirt was by Kneil Malicano. It had a lot of detail in the design and lot of only a couple of colors black, red, yellow. It was a great design to put on a shirt any kind of shirt.

DeleteI enjoy Matt Lyons use of many shapes and contrast. Like you stated it lets you view a different image and never becomes boring.
DeleteI agree with you, as the color contrast helps the rest of the design stick out more.
ReplyDeleteAll these designers have a lot in common. They all use detail and repetition to create a contrasting design that tells the background of something. Most of these designers use all different shapes and patters. My favorite designer was Flying Mouse because of the way he threads the photo and uses the opposite of shapes to create a detailed photo worth looking at.
ReplyDeleteThat was my favorite design, too! The detail definitely stood out to me, too. The color scheme and simplicity also captured my attention.
DeleteI agree, i like the way Flying Mouse used shading. It made the design very interesting to look at. The colors that were in it were very interesting to look at because u don't see it every day.
DeleteI very much like the way you described what they have in common. I also like how you used the word "threads" instead of saying puts or something like that.
DeleteThey all have a verity of colors like Jeff finlys design it is intricate and uses many colors but the design is not covering the whole shirt
ReplyDeleteI agree at the fact he uses a lot of contrast and color and is very unique. Jeff Finlys uses a different verity of pattern and repetition to create an amazing design
DeleteThe T-shirt looks like it pops out. I like the way that the colors were put and also the amount of color used in it makes it look and an interesting t-shirt. This t-shirt definitely art, its almost as if it were telling a story. The shades also made it pop. they did a fantastic job on it because it makes you want to look at the whole shirt not just one part of it.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite design is #6, The Flying Mouse. It is simple and uses contrast with dark and light blue, uses alignment with the tree and rabbit, repeats the texture of the fur, and the colors pop out. DeleteAll the shirts shown used a very vibrant buret of colors that really made each stand out as an individual. My favorite however was by Josh Principe. This is because of the contrast and use of the color black to symblify the deep of the ocean. The design uses familiar images that are whole not just lines that are arranged to appear as something.
ReplyDeleteI like that you enjoy the vibrant colors! Josh Principe is a great T-shirt designer! :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)
DeleteI think all of the T-shirt designers all use a lot of color to catch your eye and a lot of unique shapes. However my favorite designer was Justin White. I like the free flowing lines and how your mind follows them like a maze. I like the contrast between the orange and the white. I also like how he made the white background look faded and old.
ReplyDelete@Ryan Paulson I also liked how Justin White used the lines to guide your eyes around the design.
DeleteJosh Principe was my favorite. The reason that he's my favorite was because, he made a variety of t-shirt designs for various types of people. All the shirt designs had in common that they were unique in design. The design makes me like the shirt because it makes me feel like its men't for another purpose.
ReplyDeleteI also saw many different designs that drew attention with that artist.
DeleteI agree. Good explanation!

They impacted the T-shirt by using colors to make the bird seem bigger or more important, and the color changed the shirt from being dull, to bright and interesting.

DeleteI agree with you that the designers do use a lot of contrast and color in their designs and I did like Herman Lee's designs as well.
DeleteAll the great designs are similar in that they are very colorful and very abstract they each are all different from each other and all are very neat and put together well. My favorite t-shirt designer is flying mouse because his designs are very fun and simple and has its own uniqueness from others on the website. My choice of the t-shirt was because his technique is very simple and he didn't add too much to the design. He also used contrast of the bunny in the background to the other smaller objects in the design.
ReplyDeleteI agree, the colors work really well together because of the simple contrast between them.
DeleteI agree because he showed what to focus on by making the bunny bigger and the other objects smaller. Also, I liked the way you interpreted the simple design to be abstract. :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)
DeleteAll of the T-Shirt Designs have a unique abstract concept. My favorite designer is Josh Principe. His designs are less abstract and have a clear meaning behind his works.
ReplyDeleteI also liked Josh Principe's T-shirt design. I like how it was a clear picture not very abstract.
Delete@Riley Sutton I also thought that Josh Principe's T-shirt design was incredible. I like how there was no confusion on what the design was, it was very clear and well done.
DeleteAll the T-shirts are in common by being abstract. My favorite one is Flying Mouse one with the rabbit. I like it because of the simpleness and the colours.

The design rules and technique of the design impact the design I picked because all the elements brought everything together and made it one great design.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the Jeff Finley shirt design because it shows many different levels of colors and shows really good repetition.
ReplyDeleteWhat do all the great designs have in common on this website?
ReplyDeleteAll the designs on this website are very colorful and have lots of patterns and weird things about them but they have lots of cool things about them that are similar.
Which t-shirt designer is your favorite and why?
AJ Dimarucot because his shirts have such an array of colors and interesting patterns and designs
How do content/context, composition/design rules, and technique impact your favorite t-shirt design?
because everything there added makes it look really cool and i think i want to use that on my design
They all have extreme detail and really bring life into it. My favorite was the first one.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the detail. Many of the designs are very lively.
DeleteI agree that they all have great detail and it makes the designs look really good.
DeleteAll the designs on the website not only just show one element. They show several in a very harmonic way with a burst of colors. My favorite designer is Matt Lyon of C86 because the image is very creative. I think the design is great because the way the image is incorporated with the rest of the design on the shirt. The burst of colors and the background colors show a lot of symbolism throughout.
ReplyDeleteI agree! Matt Lyon's image is very cool indeed- nice use of color and contrast of shapes/negative space.
DeleteAll of the designs on the website are very interesting and they have lots of color and they are all different. They also have similarities because of the way they use color and other interesting things. I liked the t-shirt by AJ Dimarucot because he has lots of interesting detail and color in his design. I think content, composition, and technique impact my favorite design because it made the design look good and it was really cool.
ReplyDeleteAJ Dimarucot's design is fantastic- and I agree with every point you make!
DeleteAll the designs on this website utilize flamboyant and complex colors, mixed with a wide range of both simple and complex forms. Each is unique, and yet- somehow the same. All display passion and movement with their placement and curvature of lines, though some do this better and with more intention, for instance the ghosts. My favorite design was that of Ray Frenden, as the clean lines and half retro cartoon style appeal to me. Design rules impact the design by drawing on the logical and emotional appeals of the audience- mixing the art of the form with the art within one's soul.
ReplyDelete@Brett Wiebold I dont agree that all of the designs utilize flamboyant and complex colors but I do agree with the fact that each design is unique and all include the designers passion.
DeleteAll of the designs where very cool. The color where all very nice and they all had the color yellow in common.
ReplyDeleteWhat all of these designers have in common is that they all have their own creative style, none of them are copying ideas from another designer.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite T-shirt designer is Josh Principe because I love his use of contrast in his design, the black background really makes his design pop out. Principe also has a very original design style compared to the other 9 designers.
All of the content, composition, techniques, and design rules combined made this design incredible. The use of contrast and spacing on the T-shirt really makes his design pop out.
On top of it all it is hard to see exactly what is behind/under the squid, driving our curiosity. I also liked the difference between the contrasting yellow and blue here as it does bring attention to smaller details.

DeleteWhat do all the great designs have in common on this website?
ReplyDeleteAll the shirts on the website have unique designs and patterns with a nice hue of colors that each T-Shirt designer used.
Which t-shirt designer is your favorite and why?
I like Ray Frenden's shirt. It looks as if someone is at a party during night, and I like the colors he used for the shirt.
How do content/context, composition/design rules, and technique impact your favorite t-shirt design?
It give's it a cool atmosphere and it looks like it is giving it some night effect. It also looks a lot like graffiti art with the lion and it has a nice mixture of the coloring. His technique is very unique and very cool that he used by adding humans and fire, plus an animal (most likely a lion) in the background.

I really like Josh Principe as well. He did a great job at personifying the animals.
DeleteAll of the designs are very bright and have really cool designs.
ReplyDeleteI like the one by Jake just cause of the octopus on it.
I liked the design by Ed Picombe. I think there was the right amount of contrast in the design and I just really like the design itself. All of these designs were a dark color with just the right amount of contrast to get people to look. They all used the design rules to make their designs really pop out at whoever looks at them.
ReplyDeleteI also liked the almost grotesqueness of the design. It is a very strange design and I like abnormal things as well.
DeleteWhat do all the great designs have in common on this website?
ReplyDeleteThey are all unique and use a variety of different colors and shapes. None of the designs are located in strange locations.
Which t-shirt designer is your favorite and why?
My favorite is Justin White because I think the lines that he used (in terms of them all being pointed in different angles interests me) His design on this website is a little more simple than some of the others but I like it more than he others.
How do content/context, composition/design rules, and technique impact your favorite t-shirt design?
The content in the design is what interests me the most. It uses the design rules by being different and not keeping the orange lines the same. The technique is what keeps the content interesting.
What do all the great designs have in common on this website?
ReplyDeleteThey all have wavy designs and many details that keep the designs interesting.
Which t-shirt designer is your favorite and why?
Matt Lyon of C86 is my favorite because his design is so interesting and has so much random stuff in it. It all begs you to look deeper at it .
How do content/context, composition/design rules, and technique impact your favorite t-shirt design?
It uses negative space well and many of the same colors. Most of the design is part of something smaller and something bigger at the same time. Even the difference between the house and the more machine like part of the design adds to the controlled insanity.
Matt Lyon of C86 is also my favorite, I feel that it has a lot of symbolism in it.
DeleteWhat do all the designs have in common on this website?
ReplyDeleteAll of the designs have great contrast that attracts the eye and makes the design stick out. The designs all have repetition in colors or shape. The t-shirts are all colorful and interesting, and they all show expertise in the amount of great detail the designers added.

ReplyDeleteWhat do all the great designs have in common on this website?
ReplyDeleteThey all use rules of graphic design effectively;Proximity, contrast, repetition, and alignment. All of the shirts are designed artistically and use at least 3 different colors.
Which t-shirt designer is your favorite and why?
My favorite design is the one by Jeff Finley because it is complex/detailed, colorful, and just overall looks really good.
How do content/context, composition/design rules, and technique impact your favorite t-shirt design?
Colors contrast each other very well. Aspects of the design are repeated, but are changed a bit so they're not the exact same. The design is sprawled out over the t-shirt and is chaotic, so there is not alignment or proximity.
All of the great designs are in-common with each other, because they are creative and colorful. Ray Frenden is my favorite designer, because his design looks like a cartoon you would see on a television. His design is also very colorful/ appealing. It had great contrast with the colors that made it look even better. Every design in the link is very well done, and is very creative.
ReplyDeleteSomething that I noticed is that all of the designers used very bright and eye catching colors. I liked AJ Dimarucot's design because it used many colors, was very eye catching and had many lines and pictures on it. The design rules impact the t-shirt because they help you to create and sell a quality product.
ReplyDeleteI really liked Josh Principe's design because it's very unique. It shows a lot of contrast and it catches people's eyes very well. All the designer used bright colors on dark/light backgrounds, witch created good contrast. Josh's design was also very organized.
ReplyDeleteI thought the designer josh principes design was cool because it had a very different style to his art work aswell as the color he used which was unique and flowed well together.
ReplyDeleteAll the T-shirts have colorful and colors that stand out. My favorite designer is Ray Frenden because his designs pop out more that the other designers in my opinion. I will surely use colors that pop and have unique designs implemented
ReplyDeleteAll the designs look very nice and it was hard to pick a favorite. My favorite T-shirt designer is Ray Frenden because his design looks the best and it just pops and just appeals to my eyes more than the others did.
ReplyDeleteAll the T-shirt designs have very cool images or drawing on them and either have no empty space or have very little and if it does have lots of free space then it uses in the design. My favorite was probably the last one by Josh Principe because it looked simple at first then as I look at it more it go more complex. All these designs where great and help me thing of way to make great T-shirt designs with how and what to make one complex or simple or one that is both depending on how you look at it.
ReplyDelete@Sloan I also really like his design because it takes one central graphic, but because of the detail makes it enough of a design for the whole shirt. The contrast between the colors used for the octopus also provide for it to easily catch the eye of people who see it.
DeleteAll the designs are all very colorful and catch my eye that I can't just pick one favorite, but if I had to pick a favorite it would have to be Ed Picombe I just love the two colors he mixed together and it just pops.
ReplyDelete@Michael, I also really like this design, but mainly for the contrast between all the people and in the background and the blue monster type things. The people really add depth to the picture that would otherwise not be there if it was just a red background with blue monsters in front.
DeleteAll the designs are unique and interesting. My favorite design is Kneil Melicano's because it is interesting and the colors stand out.
ReplyDeleteAll of the designs incorporate the rules of design, but all of them also break the rules to create a visually appealing shirt. My favorite design is Herman Lee's because of the sharp contrast between the colors in the bird and leading into it, with the bland background. The white "sparks" also add to the repetition of the piece. For my design I plan on using all the rules of design, and trying to create one central image just as Lee did. I would like to have things leading into the central image, and coming out just as Lee did with his shirt. I think that if I can accomplish this I will be able to create a simple, yet aesthetically appealing shirt.
ReplyDeleteThey all had unique designs. My favorite design is Josh Principe Because I really liked the octopus drinking the beer it looked cool. They can inspire my design by giving me an idea on how my shirt wold look. some of my favorite things.
ReplyDeleteAll the designs on that site are all alike because they all at least have one popping color among the rest of shirt; they all incorporate contrast into their designs. Though out of all of the designs I think Kneil Melicano's design would be my favorite. The design just appeals to me more, and shows more depth in the style and being of the art then the other's in my opinion. And taking Kneil's work in mind, I will try to make my T-shirt design hold the kind of depth her's does. Try to.

the designs have a simple color background with a very abstract colorful design to on top to match. Josh Principe would be my favorite design personally, the octopus seems like such a nice cool thing to have on a shirt i would defiantly wear. I am going to use the idea of a simple yet effective shirt design directly on the front of my shirt design
I especially appreciated the design of Kneil Melicano, as I think that the design is very well done as well as prompting thinking in those who see it. I really enjoyed the style of the t-shirt, and I think the colors contrasted very well against the overall message and creates a nice effect.
